Driven by curiosity about the underlying structure and connections of all natural phenomena - from scientific methods of understanding the world - to complex navigation of human emotions, Benkő’s art practice is expressed in a variety of media; movement, perception and transformation are recurring themes within her multidisciplinary practice.

Benkő holds a master’s degree from the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest (2003) and has travelled extensively with international art grants and research projects, exhibiting in Europe, Asia and Australia.

She moved to Australia in 2020. Since then she has been developing ideas that relate to an ongoing affinity with mathematics and physics – especially in relation to that which is not visible to the naked eye.
