Created for an exhibition curated by Dóra Maurer at the Geological Museum of Budapest, the work responded to a large mammoth trace fossil in the museum's collection.

A photographic negative of the fossil was installed in front of the original and aligned so that, from a particular viewing position, the traces in the two aligned.

Rather than cancelling each other out, the positive and negative produced an unstable image flickering between presence and absence.
